Waqrapukara, meaning "Horned Fortress" in Quechua, is a stunning Inca archaeological site perched on a natural rock formation with panoramic views of the Andes. This full-day adventure combines archaeology, breathtaking scenery, and hiking for a truly unique experience off the beaten path.

The tour begins with hotel pickup from 4:30 to 5:00 a.m. Once the entire group is assembled, we'll begin the tour. We'll travel for 3 hours by tourist transport to the town of Santa Lucía.
During the tour, we'll stop in Cusipata for breakfast, and then continue the journey. In Santa Lucía, we'll take a detour, traveling for another 15 minutes along a winding road until we reach Punta Carretera. We'll then get ready for about 10 minutes to make final preparations before beginning our hike to Waqrapukara.
Once everyone is ready we will begin the walk, the walk is uphill and lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, the distance to be covered is approximately 2.5 kilometers, arriving at Waqrapukara the guide will explain the importance of this Archaeological Complex, then we will have free time to explore the place on our own and take photos, once the visit is over we will enjoy a delicious box lunch, then we will return by the same road to Punta Carretera, where our transportation will be waiting to take us back to Cusco.
