Ollantaytambo was a successively occupied area. In the Inca era it was another of the many multifunctional towns, it was an administrative, military, social and economic center, a control point for passage to various ecological floors.

  • PISAC

After visit Ollantaytambo, we will take our bus and arrive at Pisac archaeological center, it is a name that comes from the Quechua word P'isaca (partridge). Their lands were used through intelligent terrace systems with their respective irrigation canals, which allowed the almost exclusive cultivation of the best corn in the world, Parcay Sara or giant white corn. Religious, urban, social and economic zones are distinguished. Generally, the Incas built in high, safe areas that were not very vulnerable, as well as on land not suitable for agriculture. Pisac market was originally only a typical market dedicated to the purchase and sale of various products, for the inhabitants of the place, currently the sale of crafts has been incorporated, thanks to the visits of tourists who are now daily.
