Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in 4 days
Open season 2021 from July 15th
We hereby extend the information provided by the Ministry of Culture about the opening of the 4 DAY CLASSIC INKA TRAIL from July 15th, 2021
The National Service of Protected Areas by the State (SERNANP), through its Headquarters of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, and the Decentralized Directorate of Culture Cusco of the Ministry of Culture report that:
- As of June 25th 2021, authorized travel agencies will be able to access the electronic ticket reservation system, where they will find active the possibility of reserving income for routes 1, 2, 3 of the Network of Inka Trails of the Historic Sanctuary of Machupicchu and the National Archaeological Park of Machupicchu.
- Visits to these routes will resume from July 15th 2021.
The reactivation of tourist activity in the aforementioned routes of the Inka Trails Network is carried out as a result of the work articulated in the technical tables and inspection trips carried out by the Regional Management of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Cusco – GERCETUR, the Regional Health Management of Cusco – GERESA, the Technical Secretary of the Machu Picchu Management Unit – UGM, the Tourism Police – POLTUR, the Decentralized Directorate of Culture Cusco – DDC Cusco, the Headquarters of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu of the SERNANP, as well as the private sector unions (APTAE, AATC, AOTEC and ASOORIC)
