{"id":958,"date":"2023-10-20T16:28:37","date_gmt":"2023-10-20T16:28:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.salkantaytrek.org\/blog\/?p=958"},"modified":"2023-10-20T16:28:37","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T16:28:37","slug":"opening-of-routes-1-and-2-of-the-inka-trail-network-from-october-20th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.salkantaytrek.org\/blog\/opening-of-routes-1-and-2-of-the-inka-trail-network-from-october-20th\/","title":{"rendered":"Opening of routes 1 and 2 of the Inka Trail Network from October 20th"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Opening of routes 1 and 2 of the Inka Trail Network of the Historical Sanctuary of Machupicchu<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Head Office of the Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>SERNANP<\/strong>, and the <strong>Head Office of the Machu Picchu Archaeological Park<\/strong> &#8211; <strong>PANM<\/strong>\/<strong>MC<\/strong>, inform the general public that starting from tomorrow, October 20TH, 2023, routes 01 and 02 of the <strong>Inca Trail Network<\/strong> will be reopened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The resumption of service in a shorter time than expected is thanks to the prompt response from the personnel of the <strong>DDC-Cusco<\/strong>, <strong>Sernanp<\/strong>, the <strong>District Municipality of Machu Picchu<\/strong>, and the local residents of the <em><strong>Wayllabamba <\/strong><\/em>area, who carried out the necessary work to enable the two bridges in the <em>Tarayoc <\/em>and <em>Hatunchaca <\/em>sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this regard, the groups that are staying at kilometer<strong> <\/strong>88 today, October 19, have the opportunity to continue their journey towards <em>Llulluchapampa <\/em>or <em>Pacaymayo Alto<\/em>. Likewise, they also have the option to continue their journey to kilometer 104.
