of the Inca Trail from September 5th 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>Ministry of Culture<\/strong>, through the <strong>Decentralized Directorate of Culture of Cusco<\/strong>, and the <strong>Ministry of the Environment<\/strong>, through the <strong>National Service of Natural Protected Areas<\/strong> (<strong>SERNANP<\/strong>), hereby inform tourism agencies operating on the <strong>Inca Trail Network of Machu Picchu<\/strong> of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Following a technical inspection of routes 1, 2, and 3 of the <strong>Inca Trail Network of Machu Picchu<\/strong>, with the participation of representatives from the <strong>Regional Office of Disaster Risk Management and Security<\/strong> (<strong>ORGRDS<\/strong>) of the <strong>Regional Government of Cusco<\/strong> and the <strong>Decentralized Directorate of Cusco<\/strong> of the <strong>National Institute of Civil Defense<\/strong> (<strong>INDECI<\/strong>), it has been determined that tourist visits will resume on Saturday, September 5, 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Personnel from both institutions, with the support of residents of the community of <em>Wayllabamba<\/em>, will continue to carry out maintenance work on certain sections of the network to ensure the safety and well-being of visitors. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Furthermore, it has been agreed to implement short-, medium-, and long-term actions to address the impacts caused by the geodynamic activation of some ravines and to reduce the risks these conditions may pose to visitors.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Ministry of Culture <\/strong>and <strong>SERNANP <\/strong>are taking the necessary steps to guarantee the proper functioning and safety of the <strong>Inca Trail Network of Machu Picchu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a
